The Solemn Monastic Profession at Asirvanam Benedictine Monastery

Bengaluru, February 2, 2026:
Asirvanam Benedictine Monastery, Anchepalya, will be filled with prayer and joy on Monday, 2nd February 2026 at 5.30 pm as six brothers make their Solemn Monastic Profession in the Order of St. Benedict.

The brothers—Bro. Joseph Mattakkattil OSB, Bro. Thomas Parackal OSB, Bro. Leo Franklin OSB, Bro. Sebastian Praveen OSB, Bro. Albert Tete OSB, and Bro. Augustine Indwar OSB—will dedicate their lives to God through the vows of stability, obedience, and conversion of life during the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration.

Inspired by the words of Psalm 119:116, “Uphold me, O Lord, according to your promise, and I shall live; and let me not be disappointed in my hope,” the community gathers in profound gratitude to God for the gift of these vocations. The profession marks the culmination of years of prayer, formation, and discernment within the Benedictine way of life.

The monastic community of Asirvanam joyfully invites clergy, religious, family members, friends, and well-wishers to witness this sacred moment and to join in the fellowship meal following the Holy Mass.
